It's a Right Fandango at The Buffalo Bar

Night: Club Fandango ,Tue 6th October 09
Venue: The Buffalo Bar, London
Details: 8pm Next to Highbury Tube N1

Club Fandango has set sail from the Dublin Castle in Camden, where it has become an indie institution, and will shortly be docking in the trendiest basement in North London, The Buffalo Bar in Highbury.

A swift glance at Google maps (or Google charts if I was to continue in my ludicrous naval metaphor, which I'm not) will tell you that this is not a big distance geographically, but it is significant because The Dublin Castle saw the birth of Club Fandango 8 years ago,  championing the likes of The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party and Razorlight before the rest of us cottoned on to just how good they were.  From there it grew into a nationwide promotion company, currently putting on nights and gigs all over the UK.  October the 6th sees the club debut in its residency at the Buffalo Bar in the form of "It's Great When You Curate...Yeah!".  On this historic night it will be The Raveonettes (you may have noticed from my blog, I rather like them) who are in charge, spinning the wax and silvery plastic (though regrettably not performing).  Happily, there is a great live line up to compensate, consisting of The Tamborines and Blue On Blue, as well as DJ sets from Hatcham Social, Princess Julia and Hanna Hanra and DDJY.

Tickets £5.00
