Kill Em All Party

Night: Kill Em All-6th Birthday,Fri 11th December 09
Venue: Fabric, London
Details: 10pm-7am £20

You would have had to be living in a hole not to have heard the buzz about the debut album from DJs turned band Filthy Dukes, "Nonsense In the Dark".  You may not know that it all began with a night they have successfully promoted and run for the past 6 years called Kill Em All.

It was the inspirational DFA label and Electroclash scene that made Olly and Tim (now of the Filthy Dukes) start getting bands to come and DJ at the Embassy in Islington, including Simian Mobile Disco, who are still  Kill Em All mainstays.  It wasn't until they moved to Barfly in Camden that things took shape, with their aptitude for booking live bands that went on to commercial success such as Bloc Party, Young Knives and Friendly Fires, coupled with eclectic djing, getting them noticed by Fabric who offered them a bi-monthly slot.  The night went from strength to strength, gathering a creative legion of giants such as Justice, Chemical Brothers, Late of the Pier and many others to march towards new musical frontiers.  December 11th will be headlined by the Chemical Brothers (DJ set) and have a live performances by Hercules and the Love Affair, We Have Band and Crystal Fighters.  Other DJs include Filthy Dukes, Stopmakingme, Riton, Juan Mclean, Boy 8-Bit, Noob, Tronik Youth and Disco Bloodbath - what a night!
