Tina Dico's Pledge Success

Tina Dico is a Danish singer-songwriter with a reputation for artistic independence, which she has just proved with the success of her new project, for which she raised funds (60,000 EUR to be precise) via Pledge, the latest fan-funded music model.  "The Road To Gavle" is her 6th album and is based on music she wrote for the Danish film "Oldboys".  It's built with strong, pure, folk writing, in the tradition of Tracy Chapman or K D Lang and it is easy to see how she has accumulated such a loyal fanbase.  Pledge allowed her to connect directly with them by offering a menu of rare musical delicacies in the form of signed albums, personalised Christmas cards and video messages, all of which raised the cash not only to fund the album, but also to donate to Amnesty International.  She was so successful in this that she raised double her target 30,000 EUR - lucky Amnesty International!
